Today all parties have reached an agreement. Well or close to an agreement. Finally! Even Milquet, as the media annoyingly keeps repeating, has given her permission. Praise the lord! Or not?
Bart De Wever of NVA, Flemish nationalist and cartel partner of Yves Leterme's party CD&V has finally come out of the closet. Yes, he is the only one who has to gain from the ongoing formation round. He's making Belgium look as bad as it can get. Now when we finally came close to some kind of solution, the secessionist had to make his mark and destroy all positive efforts. Bart De Wever said no! Nee!
But will this decision be the best for him and his party? Not only has the disguise come off and did the world see through his charade, but this also puts a terrible strain on the cartel. Can Yves Leterme hold on to his "child" (as he refers to the cartel)? But perhaps he has to realise that his child is the spawn of Satan. And as we all know, it would be the best for everyone if we put "Damien" to sleep.
Hopefully the media will report from a neutral point of view on this matter. (Today's newspapers seemed hopeful on that matter so far.) So the people will finally see what I 've been saying for ages now... And I'm not alone in this matter. Jean-Luc Dehaene, former prime minister and CD&V party member came up with this in July already: QUID NVA! I'm pretty sure, we would have had a government in 10 days back then!
